What led you to me?
I found Equisentient Coaching on a local Facebook group. I was a long time follower but recently decided to book a call.
How was your call helpful?
It confirmed my observations about my horse and I’s relationship. After the call, my usually mareish horse didn’t pull one face and we had one of our best tackless rides to date after. She was light, receptive and confident – I just had to think what I wanted and she was there. I feel this was definitely no coincidence after having such a great call. Rachael helped me understand the way she thinks and processes the world which I will be able to incorporate into my training.
Was it what you expected?
It exceeded my expectations – Rachael really captured my horse’s energy in a way only someone who knew her could feel.
What were you most surprised by?
Honey conveyed words and expressions to Rachael that I had used around her when talking to others. Rachael totally nailed my horse’s personality – Honey is a horse that is easily misunderstood but Rachael perfectly captured the nuances. Also, scent was mentioned – my horse has made reference to scent before in a communication with another animal communicator which I think has to be more than coincidence.
What was the most valuable aspect of your call?
Knowing that my horse was happy and receptive to me, and that she appreciated my training style. I’ve made major changes and was questioning whether I was going in the right direction with her so it was lovely to have some reassurance and gain some new ideas to incorporate into my training.
Has your equine or animal’s behaviour changed following the call?
She is a lot more “fixed” on me. She was almost proactively waiting for me to ask something/engage with her whereas before she would simply react to an aid rather than seek out contact. She was beautifully light and uphill to ride and went off my voice much more effectively than usual. She seemed as though she was enjoying her work more than usual and almost “showing off”- I think she really benefited from the call.
Has your relationship changed as a result?
We have a really strong bond anyway but I think the call has further deepened our relationship and given us a fresh understanding of each other and the way we think.
A potential client is on the fence about whether to have a call with me; what would you say to them?
Go for it – Rachael communicates in a really constructive way, the energy on the call was fantastic – I had goosebumps. The call has helped me understand why your horse acts in a certain way which I think will be really useful for unlocking doors in training – I wish I had purchased a call sooner! Knowing the horse’s personality and comfort zone is a huge part of building a bond with your horse, and my call definitely facilitated that.
